Celebration of International Mathematics Day 2024-25

The Department of Mathematics, Lal Bahadur Shastri College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Satara, successfully organized a program to celebrate International Mathematics Day on 13th March 2025 at 2:30 PM. The event aimed to highlight the significance of mathematics in everyday life and to inspire students toward mathematical learning and careers.

The program commenced with a warm welcome and anchoring by Mr. R. S. Patil, setting the tone for the celebration. The Chief Guest for the event was Mr. R. R. Sable, Head of the Botany Department, who graced the occasion with his presence and shared valuable insights in his address.

Prominent attendees included Mr. Bharatbhushan Kedar, Head of the Junior Wing, Department of Mathematics, and the Head of the Science Wing (Junior Section), both of whom extended their support and encouragement for the initiative.

The celebration featured speeches focusing on two key themes:

1.     The Importance of International Mathematics Day, highlighting its global significance and educational impact.

2.     Opportunities in Mathematics, shedding light on the various academic and career paths available in the field.

The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. C. C. Dawri, expressing gratitude to all the dignitaries, faculty members, and students for their participation and enthusiasm.

The program was a great success in fostering mathematical curiosity and motivating students to explore the subject further
