International Mathematics Day (Pi Day) Celebration

The Mathematics Department successfully celebrated International Mathematics Day (Pi Day) on 14 March from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM in the Mathematics Department. The program aimed to create awareness about the importance of mathematics in everyday life and to commemorate the mathematical constant π (Pi), which is approximately equal to 3.14159.

The event commenced with a warm welcome to the dignitaries, faculty members, and students. Mr. R. R. Sabale presided over the function as the Chairperson. Mr. A. M. Lakeri, Head of the Department of Mathematics, addressed the gathering and highlighted the significance of International Mathematics Day and encouraged students to develop analytical and problem-solving skills through mathematics. 

The Introduction to the program was delivered by Mr. S. V. Amande, who explained the history and importance of Pi Day and emphasized the contribution of mathematics to science, technology, engineering, and daily life.

The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members. Various informative discussions on the significance of Pi (π) and its applications in different fields made the event both educational and inspiring.

At the end of the program, Miss Chaitali Dawari proposed the Vote of Thanks. She expressed her sincere gratitude to the Chairperson, the Head of the Department, faculty members, students, and everyone who contributed to the successful organization of the event.

The celebration concluded on a positive note, inspiring students to appreciate the beauty and relevance of mathematics in academic and real-life situations.
