Department of Mathematics Organized One day workshop under  Lead College activity  “Python- Requirements and Opportunities in career building”. Mr. Pritam Mahadik Assistant Professor of Yashwantrao Chavan Institute of Science, Satara worked as the resource person.  Programe Chaired by President Principal Dr. R. V. Shejwal, Head of Department Dr. S. M. Pawar (mathematics), Head of Computer Science Department Mrs. Lalita Bhosale, Head of Statistics Department Mr. Pramod Borate Along with faculty members of Mathematics Depratement Shri. Amol lakeri and Miss. Sonali Patil.

 

The program started with pratima poojan of Shikshan Maharshi Dr. Bapuji Salunkhe and Youth idol shri  Swami Vivekanand, Dr. S. M. Pawar delivered introductory speech , in his introductory speech role, need and student participation in this workshop were discussed in detail with students. In the presidential speech Dr. R. V. Shejwal told the student that  how the Covid pandemic affected the academics and now it is time to recovered your loss during the past two years, such a curricular and co-curricular activities are beneficial to the student in developing themselves as a good student and for their career building.

 

Mr. Pritam Mahadik in his session gave details about the data science, how the data generated, organization of data, role of employee, need of skilled persons, use of various techniques, use of tools and technology.  View of graduated towards the field as career these points are elaborated fully. How advertising filed captures the customers all these are based on data.

Our need is to organize data, visualize and use it for the growth of the company. This is the reason why we must study the coding languages. Python is one of powerful tool and technique for this need. In his second session Mr. Mahadik discussed the basics of python language with live demonstration and with examples. Student involved and enjoyed the session, Mr. Mahdik well replied to the student queries, problems and doubt in question-answer session and tried to clear the mindset of student towards the field.

Around 50 student of different department were attended the lecture along with 12 faculty members of mathematics, statistics and computer science department. Student actively involved in the workshop and thanked to the organizer for the organizing the workshop and assured that they will attain the such activity in future.

As well the student felicitation on behalf of department for their great success in shivaji university examination. Vedprakash Shah and Rahat khan secured 88% of marks in first year  mathematics subject and Siddhi Ghorpade had 87 % and topped in third year mathematics department.

Siddhi Ghorpade and Mangesh Khamkar successfully carried the role of anchor and   The vote of thank made by sakshi patil. Student of second year and third year mathematics were actively participated in program and had great help in organizing the workshop.
